Which Royal Maca ® Product is Right for You?

We get a lot of questions from customers asking, “Which Royal Maca product is the best for me?” I’ll start the answer to this question by sharing several important points about Maca root.
It’s a myth that men need one color of Maca and women need a different color. The flesh of all Maca roots is cream-colored. Selecting Maca with different skin colors – thinking they will benefit men and women differently – is a marketing gimmick. (It’s no surprise that the only “scientific” literature that mentions Maca color is sponsored by several companies that promote this misconception.)

To deliver potent benefits for hormonal balance, energy, and vitality, Maca must be grown organically at a high altitude in Peru, and properly cooked. Most maca on the market is Chinese Maca, grown with pesticides at low altitudes, and marketed raw. As a result, cheap, inferior Maca floods the market.
All Royal Maca products are organically grown and harvested in Peru, and Whole World Botanicals practices fair trade with our Indigenous growers. All Royal Maca is sun-dried and flash-cooked with gelatinization. Royal Maca is also additive-free, gluten-free, and vegan.
