FAST ACTING – EVEN WITH NO DIET CHANGE!
Royal Abuta Plus™ may promote a healthy blood sugar level in as little as 10 days. It improves digestion of carbohydrates (especially starchy and white flour foods). It provides nutritional support for people who have borderline high blood sugar levels and can be combined with glucophage.*
Whole World Botanicals sponsored a clinical trial with 19 people who had high blood sugar levels. They took one capsule of Royal Abuta Plus™ twice a day as nutritional support along with glucophage. At our request, for the purpose of the study, they did not change their regular diet. The results showed that in 6 weeks or less, it was easier for them to more consistently maintain a healthy blood sugar level.
Botanical in the Wild
Abuta grows wild in the rainforest of Peru.

Lemongrass grows in the Amazon rainforest. The fragrant leaves are traditionally used in cooking and the stems are used for medicinal purposes.

Pasuchaca indigenous names is an herbaceous, perennial shrub native to the northern Peruvian highlands (Cajamarca, Chota, Ayabaca).

Clinical Trial Demonstrates Potential Efficacy
Although there is a strong oral tradition both in Brazil and Peru attesting to Abuta’s positive effect on high blood sugar, Curarea tecunarum has not been scientifically studied for its ability to affect blood sugar, prior to 2001 when Whole World Botanicals sponsored a clinical trial.
The WWB sponsored trial had 19 participants who had out-of-control blood sugar, even though they were all taking glucophage pills. The study was double blind, placebo-controlled, involving participants taking oral medication for Type II Diabetes. They were asked to continue with their medication while they took one capsule of the Abuta Formula capsules, twice daily with breakfast and lunch. The people in the study all had blood sugar levels of between 180 and 270, in spite of being on oral medication. In Peru, only people with Type I Diabetes are prescribed insulin.
By the end of the eight weeks of the study, all of the people taking the Royal Abuta capsules were within normal limits of blood sugar level, ranging from 70 to 120. The people taking the placebo pills remained at roughly the same level of blood sugar throughout the study.
What is especially remarkable about this study is that: 1. Virtually all studies of the effects of a therapeutic botanical on blood sugar level have been done on experimental animals, not with human beings. 2. The scientists conducting this trial explicitly told the participants that they did not want them to improve their diet. The initial intake interview revealed that the diet of the participants included a substantial amount of starches (white rice and/or potatoes on a daily basis); fried foods and refined white sugar on a daily basis as well. The participants in the study were told not to go “hog wild” with their diet but also not to improve their diet. The reason: the investigators did not want to be measuring the effect of an improved diet—they wanted to measure the effect of the botanical.

ABOUT ROYAL ABUTA PLUS™

Abuta Plus™ is a formula containing three South American herbs: Abuta (Curarea tecunarum), Lemon Grass (Cymbopogon citratus) from the Amazon rainforest and Pasuchaca (Germanium delsianum), a mountain herb, which grows in the Peruvian Andes. Scientific literature suggest for that Pasuchaca contains blood sugar regulation (hypoglycemic) properties.
The Peruvian rainforest has many different plant species called “Abuta”. What they have in common is they are all believed by the local inhabitants to lower blood sugar. Although there is a strong oral tradition both in Brazil and Peru attesting to Abuta’s positive effect on high blood sugar, Curarea tecunarum had not been scientifically studied for this property, prior to 2001 when Whole World Botanicals sponsored a clinical trial.
The WWB sponsored trial had 19 participants who had out-of-control blood sugar, even though they were all taking glucophage pills. The study was double blind, placebo-controlled, involving participants taking oral medication for Type II Diabetes. The participants in the study were told not to go “hog wild” with their diet but also not to improve their diet. The reason: the investigators did not want to be measuring the effect of an improved diet—they wanted to measure the effect of the botanical.
Since most people suffering from Type II Diabetes Mellitus are unable to maintain a hypoglycemic diet for any length of time, the most desirable outcome of the study would show that the participants, all taking Glucophage medication, could continue to eat a hyperglycemic diet but at the same time improve their blood sugar levels. To try to minimize the possibility that they were improving their diets during the study, the investigators did NOT have the physician ask these participants what they had eaten when they picked up their capsules every week.
Whole World Botanicals presents this formula not as a cure, diagnosis, prevention or treatment of diabetes. Rather, it is helpful in ameliorating the symptoms of an elevated blood sugar level and can be used as a nutritional therapy in conjunction with an oral pharmaceutical drug prescribed by a physician. The real value of this herbal formula is that it helps correct the effects of a hyperglycemic diet which is high in starch (white rice, potatoes, bread, corn) and in refined white sugar. This type of diet is part of the cultural norm both in urban Peru and in the United States and in industrialized countries everywhere. This herbal formula represents part of a healthy diet for a person with borderline high blood sugar levels and for people with Type II diabetes. Royal Abuta PlusTM is presented as a dietary supplement which will help to offset unfavorable dietary factors.
Dosing Considerations*
