Whole World Botanicals is thrilled to make the guide, Discovering Dragon’s Blood: The Power of Sangre de Grado, available to our customers. In this 65-page eBook -- part memoir and part guide -- my remarkable friend and colleague, Ahdoña Marie, shares her journey to embracing Dragon’s Blood as one of the many potent herbs and botanicals she reveres for her health and the beloved animals in her life.

I have to thank Ahdoña for her recommendation years ago that Whole World Botanicals include Dragon’s Blood as one of our select Peruvian botanical products. Her interest and advocacy spurred us to search for Indigenous communities who were eager to find a market for the Dragon’s Blood resinous sap which they tapped from the numerous Dragon’s Blood trees growing wild in their territory. We are happy to say that we found a community of wonderful Dragon’s Blood harvesters in Peru and several years ago introduced our pure Royal Dragon’s Blood to the U.S. market. I’m also proud to say that Ahdoña has used our Royal Dragon’s Blood exclusively since then!

Part One: In Part One, Ahdoña shares the story of her beginnings, and teachers, including her step-grandfather, a native person from the Blackfeet and Sioux group, who came from a medicine lineage, was her earliest teacher. From him, she learned how to be present to herself and how to communicate with plants, and other living beings of different species. She shares stories of meeting and walking with teachers with an Indigenous lineage, shamans, and other wise women and men. Along the way, Ahdoña also learned from naturopathic doctors and other alternative medicine practitioners, deepening her knowledge of healing plants and their many applications.

Part Two: In Part Two, Ahdoña shares how she learned Dragon's Blood, and discusses what it is and how it works. She discusses how important it is to use pure Dragon's Blood, and also discusses the many Peruvian botanicals that complement Dragon's Blood as remedies for many health conditions.

Part Three: In Part Three, Ahdoña describes her personal experience with Dragon's Blood, including natural anti-aging facials that keep her young and vibrant-looking. She also shares her own stories of successfully using Dragon's Blood to treat her own insect bites and dental issues.
